I’m Terry Manning, the owner and creator of Heart of Vermont Soap Works, located in the beautiful town of Randolph, Vermont.

How It All Began

Like many people, my journey started during the COVID-19 pandemic. With all the extra handwashing and sanitizing, my hands became incredibly dry and irritated. I began researching ways to make gentle, nourishing products that could restore my skin — and after countless hours of reading, mixing, and testing, I created my very first batch of all-natural soap and body lotion.

That one small step turned into a passion. Soon after, I started selling my handmade products at local farmers markets, and over time, my home studio grew into Heart of Vermont Soap Works.

What I Believe In

My goal has always been simple:
To create affordable, down-to-earth luxury — products that nourish your skin and comfort your soul. Every bar of soap, body butter, and cream is made with care, using natural, recognizable ingredients that you can feel good about putting on your skin.

More About Me

When I’m not in my studio making soaps and creams, you’ll usually find me in my garden. I love growing my own food, canning what I harvest, and spending time with my animals. Gardening keeps me grounded and reminds me that everything we need to nourish ourselves often begins in the earth.

Through Heart of Vermont Soap Works, I combine that same love of nature and self-care to bring you products that reflect the heart and beauty of Vermont.
